Residents should have received a letter (plain white envelope) from the developer of the LMC site Barry O'Shea of C.J.O'Shea & Co Ltd. It states that demolition of the LMC site will commence at the end of August 2011 and will go on until January 2012. Given that a basement car park will be created a great deal of earth will be removed. More information from O'Shea will follow later.
The planning applications relating to the site can be found at planning.hounslow.gov.uk/planning_search.aspx. A search will need to be made. Use post code "W4 1PU" and then look for all the entries referring to 104, or 104-108, Chiswick High Road.
Note that the tree to the right of the garage entrance is going to be felled, the reason stated being that "The Arboricultural Officer has inspected this tree and advised [LBH] that the tree to the right of the entrance to the garage is riddled with Ustulina deusta, which is a serious basal decay fungi and has rendered this particular tree liable to fail, therefore it should be felled". The tree has nesting birds so will be felled later, perhaps September. In the mean time the trunks have been pruned to enable access to the site.
