Drain matters

Residents may have noticed the noise and smells from regular visits by a tanker to pump out the drain in the middle of the street outside of Nr. 19.

The problem is a suspected collapsed sewer between the drain outside Nr. 19 and a point further down the road.This is a Thames Water matter and it is likely they will need to dig up the road in a couple of places and push though a new pipe. This obviously needs organising with the Council to manage parking closures and more than likely nothing will happen until after the Olympics.

In the mean time expect daily tanker visits.
